100% Fendant (Chasselas) from Sion, AOC Valais
Produced from one of the Earths most breathtaking vineyards in Switzerlands Rhone Valley. Juicy apple and faint pear fruit, lemon zest, and deeply mineral. This, like most Chasselas, is feather-light and charmingly pretty with papercut acidity and livid spritz. I've said before that I have a deep affinity for Switzerland and her wines, so biased I may be. Though Swiss wines will never catch on in a big way, the delicate nature should be embraced for certain meals and above all, a nice apertif alternative. 11,8% alc. $20
