Susan & I tried these 4 wines this weekend:
1. Bucklin SauvBlanc DenmarkSt.Vnyd/SonomaVlly (14.1%; Farmed: Eric Clouse) Sonoma 2023: Light yellow color; fairly strong lemony/citrusy/melony rather quiet slight stony rather pleasant nose; fairly tart/tangy/metallic rather lean/pinched some melony/SB/citrusy/lemony bit quiet/simple flavor; med.long lemony/citrusy/SB bit stony finish that follows flavor; a pleasant enough lemony/citrusy/SB but pretty unthrilling & bordering on the vapid side; a pretty ordinary expression of SB. $28.00

3. Dom.Bibich Zutina (12%; Debit grape macerated for 30 days; Frmtd in Fr. & Am. oak; ZRS Wines/Brooklyn/NY) VinaBibich/Plastovo/Croatia 2022: Deep gold/amber color; very intense VM/resinous/phenolic quite earthy/austere slight orangy/graham cracker/fruit rather dusty unattractive nose; very tart/tangy/metallic quite earthy/VM/phenolic/very resonous rather austere classic VM rather unattractive flavor; med.long very austere/VM/phenolic/resinous finish that tacks flavor; a wine w/ no fruit & totally dominated by the VM character; totally unattractive at this stage but will probably age into something interesting in 5-10 yrs; or maybe not. $25.00 (KK)

4. Rizzi Nebbiolo Dd'OC: Langhe (14%; TheSortingTable/Napa) Rizzi/Treiso/Piemonte 2020: Med.light color; rather fragrant floral/violets/lilacs/Nebb slight earthy/tarry quite pretty/fragrant Nebb nose; fairly tart/tangy bright floral/Nebb/violets/lilacs very pretty flavr w/ light tannic bite; med.long floral finish that follows flavor; a rather lightweight very pretty floral expression of Nebb at a fair price. $23.00 (AV)

More vizzleslik from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Debit is a grape native to Croatia & grown mostly along the Dalmatian coast. This wine was totally dominated by the skin-contact/VM character of the fermentation w/ a paucity of fruit. But it's a wine I suspect will develop into something quite inteesting w/ age.
