My Bucklin shipment arrived ystrday, so cracked last night:
1. Bucklin OldHillRanch Mixed Whites (13.6%; www.BuckZin.com; 93 cs) Bucklin/Sonoma 2023:Light yellow near colorless; rather earthy/old-timey some GreyRiesling/floral bit GWT/R/floral sli8ght perfumed talc rather dusty/OV some complex nose; very tart/tangy/some metallic rather earthy/stony/chalky/perfumed talc slightly floral/R/Grey R flavor w/ some coarse/rustic character; very long rather earthy/chalky/old-timey finish that tracks flavor; not a particularly interesting white that reminds some of the old Gus Sebastiani Grey Rieslings; not a lot of aromatics. $30.00

More zitterhopf from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This vnyd was planted at OldHill in 2010 using 14 heritage whites that were interplanted in some of the old vnyds of mixed plantings in SonomaCnty. Muscat, French Colombard, Chasselas, and Clairette Blanc cuttings came from Old Hill Ranch, Gewürztraminer, Trousseau Gris and Riesling came from Compagni-Portis Vineyard, Muscadelle from Casa Santinamaria, Malvasia and Grenache Blanc from Rossi Ranch and Chenin Blanc from Carlisle. Grapes are whole-cluster pressed, fermented cool in Stainless and then aged in neutral barrels sur lees for 6 months.
