In the mood for a Zin last night, so cracked:
1. DryCreekVnyd Zin HeritageVines SonomaCnty (14.5%; Vine age: 20+ yrs; 78% Zin/20% PetiteSirah/10% Primitivo/1% Carignane) DryCreekVnyds/Healdsburg 2014: Very dark color w/ no bricking; very strong classic DCVlly/raspberry/blackberry quite peppery rather dusty/OV some Am.oak/vanilla fairly complex rather youthful Zin lovely nose; fairly tart/tangy quite rich/lush very strong very peppery/dusty/OV very blackberry/raspberry/boysenberry strong Am.oak quite structured rather complex flavor w/ some chewey tannins; very long bpoysenberry/blackberry/spicy finish that follows flavor; lots of blackberry/peppery character for DCVlly; showing no signs of it age & quite youthful; very structured for 10 yrs old.

More pollywoller from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. The DryCreekVnyds Heritage is one of my favorite go-to Zins. I was a bit surprised just how much structure it was showing & not a lot of evolution yet. DryCreekVnyds don't get the recognition for their Zins they deserve.

Sounds like a good one. What's the MSRP for this bottling? Same range as say Bedrock OVZ?

Not sure, David. I seem to recall it was in upper-teens or low $20's when I bought it.
