- 2013 Fratelli Brovia Barolo - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo (10/16/2024)
I had seen some reports that this was drinking well, so why not try a bottle! The reports are true. It's quite open, though still very young. Good balance of fruit and tannin, so no concerns about aging further. There's some floral and a bit of earthiness, so I think another 5+ years could see this in a lovely spot. No regrets about opening this one, and it was a very enjoyable drink. That said my remaining bottles are going to sleep a while longer.

Good to hear. I have the '13 Villero, which I will give a lot more time methinks.

I have one of the vineyard designates as well and have zero intention of touching them anytime soon.
Besides, I have 2004 and 2006 bottles to open!
