More bloodycrap from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Like many new Ridge releases, I Pobega'd this shortly after it ht my doorstep. It was a nice pure GB but nothing profound. So I cracked this btl w/ low expectations. Whatta surprise this was. It had really put on weight since release and developed a remarkable degree of spiciness. It's a wine that's currently on the shelves here in NM. I thought the '23 was a better GB, but Laura/Pig+Fig pretty much cornered the market on the '23 for her Ridge dinner.
TomSeed was a huge Ridge fan, though I doubt he ever had their GB. He was a co-worker in T-1 working on transport codes. He came to LosAlamos right out of the Nuclear Navy. He served for 6 yrs on the SSN Snook, A boat I worked on when it was on the ways at Mare Island Naval Shipyard. His stories of his interview w/ Adm. Highman G. Rickover was the stuff of legends. At that time Rickover interviewed everyone entering the Nuclear Navy. Those interviews could be pretty brutal. We worked together on several Neutron Transport codes in T-1. He had a great sense of humor & very easy to work with. His death a few days ago was entirely unexpected. I will miss Tom greatly. He was one of those rare birds who touched everybody's life he encountered.
