We tried this at Linda's retirement party on Sunday:
1. Ridge Zin DusiRanch/PasoRobles/SLOCnty LatePicked Calif (15.6%; 95% Zin/5% PetiteSirah; bttld Dec 98; SaH: 27.5%; RS: 0.5%; Drk: 11/98-young: PD) 1997: Med.light color w/ some browning; strong late harvesty/alcoholic some PR/jammy/blackberry/boysenberry slight tired fairly complex nose; bit alcoholic/late hrvsty fairly drysome very ripe/PR jammy/boysenberry bit tired/dried out complex flavor w/ light gentle tannins; very long bit drying finish that follows the flavor; clearly on the down side but still shows some PR/jammy fruit; only lightly drying out on the palate; still offers up some pleasure and rather interesting.

More sittlecrip from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This was the last Ridge in her cellar from KatyKorkos. She used to run Katherine's Restaurant in WhiteRock and this was one she carried on her list. It was, at the time, easily the best restaurant in LosAlamos.
Interesting that Draper recommended drinking it young but it still survived out 27 yrs.
