Had this Michigan Riesling ystrday:
1. Ch.Grand Traverse Riesling LateHrvst Michigan (10.0%; RS: 4.2 Brix; SaH: 20.8 Brix; www.CGTWines.com) Traverse City/MI 2022: Med.gold color; strong herbal/R rather stony/mineral very FL-like rather savory somewhat austere nose; very tart/tangy slightly sweet/Spatlese-level quite savory/mineral/stony bit herbal/metallic classic Eastern R flavor; very long/lingerin stony/mineral finish that tracks flavor; not a lot of lush floral/R fruit but a lovely savory/minerally/metallic near-dry character that makes for a very interesting R; reminds slightly of a SudTirol R but less fruit & more minerality; a pretty classic Eastern R.

More mishysplot from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. It always annoys me when wineries report on the label the RS in Brix. It's the % RS that we taste & Brix is a density measurement. Easy to measure but not very helpful on describing the sweetness level. Somewhere out there is a nomagraph that allows you to find the % RS given the Brix level and alcohol %.
