Saint-Drezery. Coteaux Du Languedoc.
Decanted about 90 minutes before supper.
Still incredibly dark purple, almost black, at nine years of age.
Coaco, black olives, leather and smoke on the full and rich nose.
Elegant and rich, with a surprisingly light structure, cherry fruit, floral and perfumed, leather, earth, good acidity with some drying tannins toward the end.
With time in the decanter the wine appeared to gain a bit more heft and body and also picked up a strong tarry note.
Rich, leathery on the finish, which goes on for minutes.
A great wine but, sadly, my last bottle.
