What I remember: lady winemaker/owner, married to a very very rich man. IIRC he owned most of the tug boats that ply our coastline and act as escorts for big ships in sensitive waters and ports. They lived in a serious mansion down around Olympia (I might know that they donated it to the state and it's now open for tours, it's THAT kind of big). She got serious about wine while living in Bordeaux, came home, studied winemaking and created Donadei. Heard about the wines around 2003 when we moved here and even spoke to her once on the phone (she invited me down for a visit, I was too terrified to go) and haven't heard a peep since.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
