Tuna steaks, spaghetti with fresh tomato/basil sauce, greens
2007 JM Boillot “Pitures” Volnay 1er
Unlike the 07 Angerville 1er tasted last week, this doesn’t seem to have much of a future to it. Sadly, the present isn’t so appealing either. Dilute cranberry and cherry cough syrup fruit, some minty herb, hard short finish. C+/B-

2017 Joseph Colin Sur le Sentier du Clou St. Aubin 1er
Rich and full but with racy acids. Pear, apple blossom, touch of hazelnut. Long. B+/A-
2023 Ameztoi "Rubentis" Txakolina Rosado
Touch of petillance, light, refreshing, strawberry and dried orange peel. I always like this, but never feel compelled to buy more than 1. B
Miso soup. beef bulgogi, Shanghai tips, king oyster mushrooms, rice with furikake
1986 Badia a Coltibuono Sangioveto di Toscana
I had a backup in case this was totally shot, but it held on in an elderly dowager style. Dried cherries, leather, cigar smoke. Modest finish. Actually held up through night, probably more lively at 3 hours than at opening. Sure this was better 15-20 (or 30) years ago, but I didn’t need backup. B-
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
