2010 Mercurey La Framboisiere, Faiveley

La Framboisiere is a villages vineyard in Mercurey and is a Faiveley monopole. The wine is starting to get some mature color to it. It's easy to see why the vineyard is called La Framboisiere. Both the aroma and flavor of the wine are dominated by raspberry elements. This is a lovely, easygoing wine with excellent balance. A touch of tannin says that it's just coasting onto its plateau of maturity. This wine is a joy to drink and gives uncomplicated pleasure. There is no hurry to drink it up, but why postpone the pleasure? Double Larry Curly.

Nice! I used to buy this and just rip through a case in short order, but it got pricier than that.

I misremembered the date for this wine. It was 2010, not 2012. I corrected my post.

Yes, it has gotten pricey. Some years ago the NH state liquor store had it on sale at a deep discount and I picked up half a case at a reasonable price.
