Tried these two this week at our Pig+Fig tasting:
1. Siduri PinotNoir Garys'Vnyd/SantaLuciaHighlands (14.2%) 2010: Dark color w/ light bricking; strong very spicy SLH/peppery/PN bit herbal strong pencilly/smokey/Siduri oak strong black cherry cola/PN slight earthy/dusty/OV quite aromatic lovely nose; lightly tart lightly tannic much more spicy/SLH peppery strong black cherry/PN some SLH/peppery some toasty/smokey/Siduri oak nfairly rich/lush bit complex flavor w/ modest smooth tannins; very long/lingering finish that mirrors flavor; fairly intense tart SLH/Pinot character that can go another 3-6 yrs; a fairly youthful classic SLH PN. $39.50

2. Siduri PinotNoir PisoniVnyd/SantaLuciaHighlands (14.9%) 2011: Very dark color w/ light bricking; rather lighter black cherry cola/PN slight SLH/peppery fairly pleasant nose but just that; bit softer/smoother more mature lighter/gentler less intense/complex flavor w/ light bitey tannins; med. softer less intense finish that follows flavor; shows more maturity less interesting character; can go another 2-4 yrs but probably as good as it will ever be. $45.25

More ziggersnick from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Of this pair; I much preferred the Gary's '10 because of its greater intensity. The Pisoni '11 is a pretty enough SLH PN but not nearly as interesting.
