Tasted these two at our Pig+Fig tasting last week:
1. Carlisle Grenache RossiRanch SonomaVlly/SonomaCnty (15.1%; + 17% Mourv; 7% juice bleed; neutral Fr.oak + 1 600l Demi-muid; U/U; 435 cs) 2021: Med.dark color; strong Grenache/strawberry bit boysenberry/ripe rather dusty/OV light toasty/oak/pencilly bit complex very attractive nose; rather tart/tangy some dusty/OV faitly toasty/oak ripe/strawberry/Grenache/spicy/light boysenberry flavor w/ light tangy tannins; very long strawberry/Grenache finish that follows the flavor w/ light ripe/smooth tannins; speaks strongly of Carlisle winemaking & ripe OV Grenache $36.50

2. Carlisle Grenache RossiRanch SonomaVlly/SonomaCnty (14.8%; 255 cs ) 2018:Med.dark color w/ slight brickig; lighter strawberry/Grenache/blackberry fairly pencilly/oak slight Rhonish/smokey slihtly tired nose; bit soft some pencilly/cedary/toasty/oak lighter strawberry/Grenache some dusty/OV bit drying out flavor w/ light gentle tannins; very long bit tangy/drying finish that follows flavor; still plenty of Grenache fruit but starting to dry out on the palate.

More gurrglesnort from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. I liked both of these Grenaches quite a lot. Rather atypical of Calif Grenache in that they don't have a lot of that tutti-fruiti Calif Grenache character. But they are big Calif Grenache that speak a lot of Carlisle winemakig style.
