Tried this new wine w/ Susan this weekend:
1. Dom.Bibich Crno Croatia (13%; 80% Syrah/20% Plavina; Frmtd: SS + partly Fr.oak; Aged: 1 yr in Fr.oak; ZRS Wines/Brooklyn) Vina Bibich/Plastroro/Croatia 2021: Very dark color; strong Syrah/blackberry fairly spicy/bit peppery light pencilly/oak fairly complex somewhat rustic rather interesting nose; fairly tart strong blackberry/Syrah/spicy bit peppery somewhat earthy/rustic bit coarse fairly structured some complex flavor w/ ample rough/coarse tannins; very long rather rough/rustic/coarse Syrah finish that follows flavor; needs a few yrs to smooth out tannins but don't hold out a lot of hope for it; rather lacking in lush fruit & pretty coarse/rustic on the palate; somewhat interesting & a very fair price; reminds a bit of SouthAfrica Syrah but much more rough/coarse on the palate. $19.00 (KK)

More Crnoblicker from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. I liked the nose on this wine that spoke strongly of Syrah. But on the palate, it was agressively coarse & rustic; don't see it getting dramatically better w/ age, but just a guess
