2022 Goodfellow Berserkers Cuvee Temperance Hill Chardonnay
Decanted to clear some matchstick. Vibrant acids. Pear and lemon, mineral. No hurry. B+
Sunday (Bastille Day) oysters, Tbone, chanterelles, potatoes with radish leaf pesto, caprese, salad
2012 Pepiere (Marc Ollivier) Clos des Briords Muscadet
Seashells and beach stones, bright citrus fruit, snappy and long. B+/A-
1988 Ch. Coufran (Haut Medoc)
If this was blind I’d have never guessed 1988 or northern Medoc. Soft, low tannin and acid, black plum fruit with a little tobacco leaf and floral notes. More like a mature RB satellite Really could have used something with more grip for the steak, but it’s a pleasant fully mature wine. B/B-
