2018 Devona Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard Oregon
The Washington winemaker who built the A List Washington cabernet and chardonnay brand Abeja, John Abbott, sold out a few years ago in order to pursue his passion for pinot noir in Oregon. He named his new winery Devona and he only makes pinot noir and chardonnay. We opened one of the pinots last night. Excellent development since last bottle of 3/23: ruddier color with loamy, quintessential Oregon dark cherry, tree bark and spice. The warmth of the vintage shows attractively and this wine is in its prime drinking window. Drink over the next year.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

M-m-m-m-my Devona!

Sounds good. I like a lot of Freedom Hill Pinots from various producers.
