WTN: Tour de France - maybe

by Jenise » Fri Jul 05, 2024 9:23 pm

Don't think the Tour goes through this vs. around this part of the Rhone, but hey--made you look, right?

2018 Château Bizard Grignan-les-Adhémar Montagne de Raucoule Grenache Blend
Went to a July 4th party last night where most of the wines brought by close friends were sadly the same-old/same-old they bring to every party. Among the very few exceptions were the two wines I brought and this neat little Rhone, which got my vote for WOTN. It's not big (14.5% alc doesn't show) or impressive in the way American wines try to be, it's just a fresh, perfectly balanced, perfectly ready 50/50 blend of syrah and grenache like the kind you get a bottle of when you order local wine for relative peanuts at small village cafes in France. Per CT, the average cost of this wine was $13.50. I could have drunk this all night.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
