More tatogrickle from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. These are the wines of Graham Tatomer. He started working for a job at SantaBarbara Wnry almost 20 yrs ago. He got hooked and went to Austria to work at Emmerich Knoll and learn about Riesling & Gruner. Returned to SantaBarbara and started making wines under the Tatomer label at the CentralCoast Wine Coop. He, like Solminer, specialize in wines of Austrian varieties, with Graham focusing on the whites.
The Meeresboden (means ocean soil) comes from the Kick-On Ranch and the John Sebastiano vnyds. The grapes for the Vandenberg come primarily from the Kick-On Ranch on the western edge of LosAlamos within a mile of the Vandenberg AF Launch Facility. They tend to be a bit on the riper side and oftentimes have a bit of botrytis in them. This was my easy favorite of the Tatomers because of its greater intensity & richness.
