Tried this wine last night:
1. Castelli PinotNoir Estate GreenVlly of RRV/SonomaCnty (13.7%; Dry Farmed; Neutral Fr.oak for 36 mo.; 107 cs; www.CastelliVineyards.com) EmilioCastelli/Sebastapo 2014: med.color w/ some browning; strong cedary/pencilly/Fr.oak some cherry/PN/slight floral some earthy/loamy slight Burgundian bit tired sligt complex nose; bit soft some PN/cherry/Burgundian slight tart/tangy bit metallic/drying out/bit tired some pencilly/cedary/Fr.oak slight complex/RedBurg flavor w/ tired/metallic tannins; a somewhat old RedBurg/PN that has little fruit left & well into its downhill decline.

1. Emilio Castelli specializes in Nebbiolo and makes one of the best ones in Calif. He also makes a small bit of PinotNoir. They are rather pleasant upon release. But this '14 is showing that metallic character on the palate of a red well into decline. Drinkable, but not very enjoyable.
