WTN: La Vie en Rose--Dossier and Muga

by Jenise » Tue Jun 04, 2024 11:06 am

With friends on Sunday night:

2023 Bodegas Muga Rioja Rosado Grenache Blend
Another good vintage of Muga. A little more delicate than usual but not unattractively so--this may also be because it's so young. Light peach fruit with rose petals.

2021 Dossier Wine Rosé Columbia Valley Syrah
Dossier is a new winery in Washington state, half owned by ex-Seahawk Sam Rice. Where we didn't at all like the bottle consumed in April of '23, we liked this very much. None of the roasted tomato and burnt toast notes of that ealier bottle, but a very satisfying and classy rose with considerable depth that speaks well to its 100% syrah roots.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
