Tried this white wine last night:
1. Giacometto Bruno Dd'OCeG: Erbaluce di Caluso (13.5%; The Piedmont Guy/Shafer/MN) Caluso 2022: Med.light gold color; some floral/dandelions/daffodils fairly chalky/stony slight mineral/steely some complex nose; somewhat tart/steely/metallic lightly floral/dandelions some stony/chalky/perfumed talc bit rustic/earthy slight complex flavor; fairly long stony/metallic finish that tracks flavor; quite a nice floral expression of Erbaluce w/ a nice touch of minerality; not as austere & mineral as most and more towards the Arneis part of the Piemonte spectrum. $28.00 (SFW&S)

More ippleskitt from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Erbaluce is a Piemontese variety grown mostly around Caluso. As a dry wine, it tends to be rather stony/mineral and not particularly distinctive/interesting. The best Erbaluces are made as passito wines. I've had 20 yr old Erbaluce passito (Orsolani I recall) that were spectacular.
