- 2014 Dirty, Rowdy & Enfield Red Wine Antle Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Chalone (5/26/2024)
Consumed at a party from a red Solo cup, so take this all with a big grain of salt - this wine is delicious now. Three years ago the Pinot was at the forefront, but now it's a bass-driven wine, with the dark tones of Mourvedre driving the melody. The Pinot is still evident, but it's a bright accent - an electrification of the bass strings, making sure the deep berry and earth tones stay above the ground. There's really not much structure beyond the acidity from the Pinot, so I would drink in the near term, just have some solid tunes and maybe a taco truck handy.
