Tried this wine last night:
1. NineOaks Rkatsiteli Dry Amber Wine Kakheti Region/Georgia (13.5%; 28 days skin-contact in un derground Qvevri; www.NineOaksEstate.com; Uva Imports/Atlanta) Kvareli/Georgia 2020: Deep amber/bronze/browning color; quite interesting some VM/phenoliuc/resinous strong graham cracker/honey grahams/bit nilla wafers rather earthy/dusty slight grapey quite complex nose; quite tart/tangy/some metallic some VM/phenolic/resinous bit austere/tannic very slight off-dry rather graham crackers/honey grahams/fairly honeyed some grapey/peppery rather complex flavor w/ light tannic bite; very long bit tannic/bitter finish that follows flavor; not at all dominated by the VM character & shows the complexity/evolution of a 4-8 yrs old VM; one of the best Georgia Rkats I can recall having; not particularly tannic/VM nor oxidativea bit like an off-dry Maderia; still can go another 4-8 yrs yet. $30.00 (SFW&S)

More zeeberlick from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. I generally find Georgian Rkats not particularly attractive; often hard/austere/tannic & coarse. This is one of the best Georgian Rkats I can recall having. It shows an evolution & maturity unexpected for a VM of the youth.
