My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

I'd never been, but we did spend a memorable week in McMinnville a few years back and really fell in love with the community.

We went twice (the whole three day package) back in the early 90's. We lived in Alaska then and one of our group (we were pinotheads before it was cool to be a pinothead) dedicated themselves to being on the phone, dialing dialing and redialing till they got thru the very day tickets went on sale. The events sold out immediately. I was surprised to see that they are now having trouble selling tickets, but I probably shouldn't be. Both times were among the most amazing wine experiences I've ever had, but also the most hedonistic on almost every level. They were drunken three-day parties of the kind I no longer have the stomach for. Literally. :)

Tickets are $1700! Then I would need a lawyer for the divorce.

Yes, and then you'd still need accomodations. For a small fee we stayed in the college dorms--no A/C, and 106 F outside. Another thing I couldn't do again today!
