WTN: Life is a cabernet - 1999 Montelena Estate

1999 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon "Estate", Chateau Montelena

Still young-looking for a 25-year-old. Classic mature Montelena Estate Cab--abundant fruit aromas dominated by blackcurrant, with a touch of smoky character. Complex and perfectly balanced on the palate, with the tannins fully resolved. This one is coasting merrily on its plateau of maturity. Lovely now, but no hurry. Triple Curly.

Which vintages?

Vintages will be from 1991 to 2004 with couple of years missing. plus a chard to start (and an additional vintage of cab to stick in if any of them are corked).
