2002 Robert Sinskey Vineyards Pinot Noir Perfect Circle Vandal Vineyard Carneros
Cork was lightly depressed and crumbled on removal. Color: a brownish maroon. Musty, old nose. On the palate, notes of the canned cherries my grandmother loved when I was a kid plus spent coffee grounds. Root beer, another childhood favorite, on the finish. No freshness whatsoever but it's saving grace was astonishing acidity for it's age. That part hadn't faded at all. Wouldn't want to do it again but we enjoyed the entire bottle.

OMG Mr. Peabody. If you hadn't mentioned it I'd have gone the rest of my life without remembering that such a character existed.

And not forgetting Boris and Natasha.

I got the first generation, watched on Saturday mornings on an immense TV with only about a 16" screen, lying on one's stomach on the floor, being told repeatedly to sit further back or we'd go blind (parental guidance was often by scare tactics in the 50s)

While I got re-runs, I still got some of the same warnings, especially from my grandparents.
