We tried these two value whites from Meyer-Fonne on Wed night at Pig+Fig:
1. Meyer-Fonne Edelzwicker AC: Vd'A (12.5%; Vin Sec) 2022: Med.gold color; more complex bit herbal slightly more intense some spicy/GWT some floral/R/mango slight perfumed talc/chalky/mineral bit complex nose; rather soft some rich/lush fairly spicy/GWT bit spicy/cardamon some floral/R/mango very attractive flavor; very long soft finish that mimics flavor; would like just a bit more acidity but a lovely Alsatian EZ at a great price. $22.00/litre (K-L)

More tibblecrick from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. A month ago, Kermit-Lynch got in the new release of the Meyer-Fonne Alsatian wines. They put together a discounted case of all the new release. These two were the value wines in that case. I slightly preferred the EZ for its stronger aromatics. Would have liked a bit more acidity in both wines. But both are great values that speak strongly of Alsace.
Meyer-Fonne is one of my favorite Alsatian producers. They are a fairly traditional producer midway between Trimbach and Zind-Humbrecht. And typically pretty reasonably priced.
