Tried these two wines from Total Wines last night:
1. Vignobles Chirat Les Chays AC: Condrieu (15.5%; 100% Viognier; SarrantyImprts) Gilbert & Aurelien Chirat 2019: Med.dark gold color; quiet pear/Viog/peach slight earthy pleasant enough if understated nose; rather soft fairly rich/lush light/quiet pera/peach/Viog very understated near vapid slight earthy flavor; short soft light poear/Viog finish that mirrors the flavor; a very vapid/dull rendition of Viog w/ the only thing going fr it is the rich texture; lacks acidity & flavor and the most dull/vapid Condrieu I've ever had; way overpriced at $67.00 (TW)

More zittlecrit from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. I seldom bother to go into Total Wines because most of the wines I try from there are huge disappointments. And they all, of course, bear the label of Sarranty Imprts. I good chef friend served this Condrieu at a wine dinner a week ago & it received some glowing reviews. So I thought I would give the wine a shot. I almost never buy a Sarranty Imprts wine at this price point. But Sarranty comes thru again w/ another dullard at a rip-off price.
