Tried this Chard last night at Pig+Fig:
1. Drew Chard Radiolaria Faite de Mer Farm/MendoRidge (13.6%; First Estate Chard; Dijon 548/Wente/Dijon 76 clones; Aged: 18 mo. in neutral oak Foudre & seasoned Fr.oak; 15% new Fr.oak; Drk: 2023-2033: JD) 2021: Light gold color; strong lemony/melony/Chard/spicy light pencilly/toasty/Fr.oak very perfumed almost R/floral slight herbal/hay mow some complex lovely nose; lightly tart ripe/melony/Chard/lemony bit herbal/Kansas haymow totally dry quite perfumed some pencilly/Fr.oak fairly rich some complex flavor; very long/lingering ripe Chard finish that mirrors flavor; quite a lovely/balanced Chard that should put on weight & go out 6-8 yrs. $60.00/$51.00

1. This is the first Chard from Molly & Jason Drew I can recall having. I was quite impressed by it. It comes from the Radiolaria block of their Estate Vnyd just above Elk. I wish they made more whites. Their Viognier & Albarino are absolutely first rate. I'd love to see them do a Gruner.
