NYTimes: Asimov on Wines of Abruzzo

In today's NYTimes, Eric touts the wines of Abruzzo has harboring great values:

Guess I can't say I'm very familiar w/ the producers he touts. I've not tried any of Emidio Pepe's wines but they didn't strike me as anything of great values.

I love Pepe's wine (and Valentini), but I (nor Asimov if you read article) wouldn't call them values. But I'd put Tiberio's regular whites and rose as some of the best values in wine. I like the reds, but don't find quite as compelling. Hope one day to try the Fonte Canale, people I respect love it.
