Had these three over the last few days:
1. Via Alpina PinotGrigio Dd'OC: Friuli (13%; Giuliana Imprts/Boulder) 2021: Light yellow color; pleasant rather stony/chalky lightly floral/carnations/dandelions bit simple PG nose w/ not much aromatics; lightly tart/tangy fairly stony/chalky/bit metallic lightly floral/PG/carnations slight herbal some citric/grapefruity pleasant/tangy flavor; long lightly floral rather stony/chalky finish that mirrors flavor; a pleasant enough expression of PG but not much Friuli character; a bit on the simple/grapefruity side but fairly priced. $18.00 (AV)

2. MartinWoods Syrah RockbarVnyd The Rocks Dist of Milton-Freewater/OR (13.8%; Plntd: 2016 self-rooted Phelps Slctn; 35 days Cuvaison w/ 50% whole-cluster; 15 mo. sur lie; U) MartinWoods McMinnville/WillametteVlly/OR 2021: Very dark color; strong blackberry/blueberry/Syrah slight c-c/peppery/spicy light toasty/oak some leesy/w-c/Rhonish slight earthy/dusty/herbal rather interesting nose; fairly tart/tangy some blackberry/blueberry/Syrah/spicy some Rhonish/roasted rather leesy/w-c some hard/rugged flavor w/ some hard/bitey tannins; long hard/rugged finish that mimics falvor; a bit lacking in Syrah fruit & dominated by the leesy/w-c character; a rather rugged red that needs some 3-7 yrs of age; a bit pricey for what it is. $50.00 (KK)

3. Tenuta LaPergola Il Goccetto Vino Rosso (13.5%; 75% Brachetto/25% Barbera; KermitLynch/Berkeley) Cisterna d'Asti/Piemonte 2019: Rather light/bit bricking color; strong fragrant floral/strawberry/Brachetto some spicy/Barbera/earthy/peppery rather rustic bit pencilly/oak rather attractive/fragrant nose; fairly tart/tangy strong Barbera/spicy/peppery/dried pizza spices quite rustic/rough/earthy slight pencilly flavor w/ ample rough tannins; med.long finish mimics flavor; the Brachetto gives it a nice aromatic/floral character on the nose but it speaks mostly of rough/rustic Barbera on the palate; a pleasant enough rather rustic/rough little Piemonte red at a fair price. $16.50 (KK)

More sissabyer from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. I generally like the Martin Woods wines. This Syrah was very much dominated by the leesy/w-c character and pretty rugged on the palate. It may develop into an interesting Syrah w/ age, though.
