BrunoVerdi PinotGrigio Dd'OC: OltrepoPavese (13%; EB; NeilRosenthal/NY) Verdi Paola/Canneto Pavese 2022: Med.light yellow color; quite attractive floral/carnations/PG slight spicy/cardamon bit perfumed talc light earthy/dusty quite pleasant nose; quite tart/tangy/grapefruity/citric lightly floral/carnations rather brisk/grapefruity slight earthy flavor; long brisk grapefruity finish that reflects flavor; a brisk/wirey/zesty quite grapefruity/tangy quite nice PG. $26.00 (SFW&S)

HeidiSchrock&Sohne Weissburgunder Trocken Ruster Vertranter Aus/Burgenland (13.5%; SkurnikWines/NY) Weingut Schrock/Rust 2022: Pale yellow color; strong rather floral/PB/stony/chalky slight apple/pear slight pineapple/R-like bit metallic lovely PB almost Alsatian nose; quite tart/stony/chalky strong appley/PB bit Algote-like slight earthy rather rich/full-bodied bit austere/angular flavor; very long finish that mirrors flavor; a bit on the lean/angular side that resembles a Burgundian Aligote; quite a nice PinotBlanc. $29.00 (SFW&S)

Manni Nossing GrunerVeltliner DOC: Sudtirol Eisacktaler AltoAdige Valle Isarco (13%; KermitLynch/Berkeley) ManniNossing/Bressanone/Brixn 2021: Med.gold color; some GV/white pepper bit earthy/chalky slight floral/alpine white flowers bit metallic rather interesting bit rustic nose; quite dry/bit austere light floral/alpine white flowers some earthy/chalky/stony slight metallic rather structured flavor; very long slight floral/GV/alpine flowers finish that mimics flavor; rather hard/structured that needs 2-6 yrs of age yet. $30.00 (SFW&S)

1. I rather liked the Nossing GV; very little of the aromatics you get in an Austrian GV and speaks mostly of Sudtirol terroir. An unusual rendition of GV.
