Tried this last night at DinDin:
1. Novy Pinot Meunier Van de Kamp Vnyd/SonomaMtn (14.8%) 2005: Med.color w/ some browning; strong pencilly/toasty/Siduri oak rather earthy bit PinotNoir/cherry/black cherry some cedary/pencilly/oldRed some old Pinotish bit complex nose; lightly tart strong pencilly/Siduri oak some aged/PN/cherry earthy/loamy some cedary/pencilly/oldRed flavor w/ light bit drying/astringent tannns; long drying finish that mimics flavor; still hanging in there & lots of old Calif PN character but drying out some on the palate; dominated by Siduri oak & old PN character but not at all unpleasant.

1. I always thought Adam did a good job w/ his Pinot Meunier. It was a dead ringer for his Siduri PinotNoirs but showed that earthy/loamy character the Pinot Meunier characteristically shows. This wine has held up much better than I expected.
