2021 Dom. de la Chaise Touraine Chenonceaux - I have visited the chateau at Chenonceau and it is a stunning chateau built most of the way across the Cher river, but I hadn't tasted wine from this producer before. It is a sauvignon blanc and it shows some very nice tropical fruit notes and a richness in terms of body that is unlike the clean almost angular presentation of many new world SBs. Worth a try if you see it in your marketplace. Price is $30 Can.

I tried a previous vintage of this (2018 I think) and found it way too floral for me, but maybe I'll give a newer vintage a try...
