Vigne Marina Coppi Fausto DOC: Colli Tortonesi Timorasso (14%; TheSortingTable/Napa) Marina Coppi di Francesco Bellocchio/Castellania 2013: Med.dark gold color; quite fragrant floral/gardenias/perfumed talc/spicy bit mineral ripe pear/poached pears complex stunning nose; fairly tart/tangy spicy/cinammon/nutmeg/pear/Timo some floral/gardenias/perfumed talc rich/lush/structured complex beautiful flavor; very long/lingering very spicy finish that mirrors the flavor; a beautiful expression of Timo w/ still loads of spicy fruit but developing some great complexity; a very unique/exotic white like nothing else; still should go another 3-8 yrs w/ the structure it shows; reminds a bit of a great Condrieu but not the floozy character of Viognier. $51.50 (KK)

1. Wow...this was a mind-blowing wine. Easily the best Timo I've yet had. This was one of the first Timos to show up in NM & I liked it quite a lot, but thought it a bit on the pricey side. Now as it's matured some, it seems very fairly priced for what it is. Better than any WalterMassa Timos I've tried. A stunning wine.
