Not sure what I was expecting from this wine at 15+ years of age, but it sure wasn’t that it would be a monster Spätlese, which I would have called as a gold cap Auslese if served blind. Stupendous fruit, richness, and a light honey drizzle on peach fruit profile that left me completely stunned. There’s still another bottle in the cellar, and it can probably stay there for 20+ years and improve. Wow.
