2022 Orr Wines Old Vines Chenin Blanc Columbia Valley
Best vintage of Orr CB I've had. This is one of very few Chenins made in this state, and it's from an old vine vineyard. Ms. Orr makes other wines but it's this Chenin she's locally famous for. Rich golden pear and quince fruit, hazelnuts, a little lanolin, restrained acidity and no RS like some past vintages I've tasted. Medium-plus body, elegant finish. Perfect choice from the list of a local wine bar to welcome some Canadian friends back to Washington.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
