WTN: Overnoy-Crinquand Ploussard Arbois '19....(short/boring

by TomHill » Thu Dec 21, 2023 1:32 pm

Shared this w/ my neighbors up the street last night:
1. Dom.Overnoy-Crinquand Ploussard Ad'OC: Arbois-Pupillin (12.5%; NealRosenthal/NY) Pupillon/Jura 2019: Med.light rather hazy color; fairly fragrant/strawberry/floral/violets somewhat earthy/loamy/dusty/OV slight funky somewhat attractive/interesting complex nose; lightly tart light weight some floral/violets/strawberry rather earthy/loamy bit oxidative light funky/natty complex flavor w/ strong rough/coarse tannins; med. bit funky/loamy finish that mimics flavor; shows some Ploussard fragrance but rather earthy/loamy & a bit of funky/natty character; rather overpriced for what it is. $37.00 (KK)

More moodlebrit from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This wine comes from 25-60 yr old vines. A pretty lightweight that shows some Ploussard fragrance but a bit too rustic/loamy for my taste. I was expecting more from a Rosenthal wine.

"Med.light rather hazy color" sounds like just about every Jura Poulsard...wait you said Ploussard, not Poulsard. Are both right or are these different grapes?

Jenise,
One in the same grape. Just different spellings.
