More sossafrig from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. Compagni-Portis: This is a throwback Heritage vnyd. Pharmed by Phil Coturri. The head-trained vines are a palate of fascinating white varietals—Gewurtzraminer, Trousseau Gris, Riesling, Burger, and some that remain unidentified. This has always been one of my favorite Bedrock whites for its slight old-timey character. Gus SEbastiani would be proud.

2. SauvBlanc: Morgan does about as well as anybody in Calif with the SB grape. They tend to be on the ripe/melony side but good acidity & balance. My favorite is always their Staves of Waidhofen SB because of the more interesting oak it shows. Alas, owner Joe Judge just recently died, so no telling what the future of this vnyd holds.

3. Semillon: I was a bit disappointed in this latest rendition of MR Semillon. Was expecting a bit more intensity & structure. It spoke of OV Semillon but w/ a rather quiet voice. Suspect it will put on weight & develop into a really lovely Semillon w/ age.
