A very interesting story about a vineyard that was sold to the city and has remained in place. I think that if the administration were to tend the vineyard and even operate it as a pick-your-own thing, it would be a neat service to the public in terms of education on farming issues. Many parks already have zoos and other ecology-related activities and presentations ... so why not do the same thing for viticulture? Anything that brings people closer to the land is a good thing in my opinion.
