A Polish wine

by John Treder » Tue Dec 05, 2023 11:37 pm

My Polish friend Slawek came to visit, and he brought a couple of bottles of Polish wine. I opened the first one tonight.
Called "Miskiewicz," it's an off-dry white with a lot of fruit and a good acid balance. Reminds me of a Marsanne-Roussane in some ways.
Slawek says it comes from Pomerania in southern Poland. It's tasty and drinkable, and I'm happy to enjoy it.
I wanted to attach a couple of photos, but they're too big. I'll try to shrink them and attach them to a reply.

Oh isn't that fun. Sounds delish. Did he explain the boots on the label?

Slawek didn't explain it. I suspect the wine name is a sort of joke.
It's a winery. Google was my friend. The link below is their website.
