More vicklesprit from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. The NineOaks was rather a chameleon of a wine & very much a moving target..as many orange wines are. Originally served at red-wine temp, it was extremely hard/austere/tannic & quite painful to drink. Later at a warmer temperature, it showed much more fruit on the nose but still very astringent on the palate. Alas, these VM/amber wines often need much age to show their glories & few people have the inclination to give them that age.
