Tried this new Rhone last night:
1. Jean Esprit AOC: Crozes-Hermitage (13.5%; 100% Syrah; 12 mo.n SS; Garber & Co/Topanga/CA) 2019: Fairly dark color w/ little bricking; strong blackberry/Syrah/spicy some roasted/smokey/espresso lightly floral/violets some complex classic NRhone Syrah lovely nose; bit soft fairly rich/lush strong NRhone Syrah/ blackberry/roasted bit pungent/espresso light earthy/dusty/OV/smokey some complex flavor w/ light ripe tannins; very long finish mirrors flavor; a pretty classic NRhone Syrah lacking a bit in aromatics & structure but a lovely/solid C-H at a very good price. $31.00 (SFW&S)

More douceyrork from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. A new producer for me. I was fairly impressed & thought it of near-Hermitage quality. I think I liked the recent Jean-Claude Collines-Rhodannies Syrah at about the same price slightly better.
