Monday lobster, corn, salad
2010 Girardin Corton Charlemagne Quintessence
Good acids, plenty of oak, sweet pear fruit. I liked this a bit more than previously, lobster helped! B
No wine Tuesday with Mexican food before going to city.
Teriyaki salmon, hakurei turnips and greens, salad
2022 Boulay Sybille Sancerre Rose
So food friendly! Bing and Rainier cherry, blood orange, touch of herb. Nice acids. B+
Mustard/panko chicken thighs, rice and furikake, Brussels sprouts, salad
2000 Jadot Estournelles St. Jacques Gevrey-Chambertin.
Not quite as bright as a bottle couple months ago, but good. Red plum, cherry, a little coffee. Resolved tannin, balanced acids, good finish. B+/B
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
