WTN: Turley WhiteCoat '21....(short/boring)

by TomHill » Wed Nov 08, 2023 1:16 pm

Tried this new arrival from Turley last night:
1. Turley TheWhiteCoat Calif (13.5%; RattlesnakeRidge/HowellMtn Roussanne + PesentiRanch/PasoRobles GrenacheBlanc + CobbVnyd/Amador Vermentino) St.Helena 2021: Light gold color; very attractive floral/gardenias/Rouss/pear some GB/carnations slight chalky/perfumed talc very slight pencilly/oak quite fragrant nose; fairly tart/tangy quite floral/Rouss/pear bit GB/carnations slight chalky fairly rich/lush flavor; very long/lingering strong pear/Rouss/gardenias floral finish that mimics flavor; lots of fragrant/perfumed R/GB primary fruit; still a bit simple at this point but should really develop well over the next few yrs and go out 6-8-10 yrs. $36.00

More mikaspurt from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. The WhiteCoat refers to LarryTurley's usual garb when he was an emergency room physician long ago. Their WC has always been one of Calif's better WhiteRhone blends and it ages quite well.
