- 2016 Bérêche et Fils Champagne Rive Gauche Extra Brut - France, Champagne (10/14/2023)
Afternoon popcorn, binging Amazon Prime Video and Champagne!
Surprisingly golden color, but still very fresh aromatically. What impressed was the depth on the palate - the vinous nature of the wine. Where it started with crisp apple fruit, after thirty minutes it added more liquor elements like Calvados, along with toasty and crushed rye aromas. Delicious and interesting wine.

thanks. Almost pulled a Bereche Rive Gauche for today (didn't look at vintage), will check tomorrow.
