Ch. La Gurgue - another Margaux from my sampling 1995 clarets. Much easier to drink than to pronounce for non-francophones, this wine is owned by the owners of Chasse-Spleen. It is fully mature now but has not faded, showing a lightened colour, very decent plummy nose and balanced acidity. Some plum notes, fairly sweet fruit and very soft tannins. If you have it, drink up as it had definitely reached plateau and you'll want to enjoy it before the inevitable slide gets under way.

Nice note. It’s been many a moon, but I drank a bunch of 90 La Gurgue back in the mid to late 90’s and it was a great bargain (at least for wherever my palate was back then).
