I first fell in love w/ Alsatian wines when I had the Dopff GWT Vendange Tardive Clos Gaenbroennel '59 in 1968. It was love at first sight. And an outrageous $14/btl when most Alsatian GWTs were around $3-$4/btl.
I gather they no longer take grapes from that Vnyd (Willm does).
I never hear anything about Dopff AuMoulin or see them on the shelf. Has anybody had any recent experience with Dopff AuMoulin wines and can share with me your impressions??

Wow. Probably been 25 years since I last had a Dopff wine. I honestly didn’t know they still existed.

They used to have a large presence in the US market. But, apparently, not any more.
And then there was always Dopff & Irion which I didn't think as good.
