Wasn’t sure what to make of this given the comments from the importer, but on the strength of the Rodez portfolio that we tasted, we decided to grab one bottle to try. Vivid Rosé for sure, it didn’t quite get to “light red.” Still the darkest Rosé Champagne I’ve seen. Immediate hit of raspberry fruit that dominated the aromatics. The palate was more nuanced, but still fruit-focused, with some bready elements around the edges. Tasty, but nearly one note. That said there was clearly a metric ton of material to evolve/unfold, and given the freshness of the fruit there’s no reason to be concerned about waiting.

p.s. Laura loved it, so we’re getting more.
